Wendy wird von ihrem Vater zurechtgewiesen, dass es endlich Zeit wird, erwachsen zu werden: sie soll aufhören, ihren Geschwistern das Märchen von Peter Pan zu erzählen, dem Jungen, der niemals erwachsen wird. Doch in dieser Nacht nimmt Peter Wendy und ihre Brüder mit auf eine fantastische Reise ins Nimmerland. Sie tauchen ein in die Welt der Träume, treffen auf wilde Indianer und bezaubernde Meerjungfrauen. Doch das größte Abenteuer steht ihnen noch bevor, als Peter Pan und Naseweis, die zauberhafteste Fee der Filmgeschichte, gegen Käpt'n Hook und seine räuberischen Piraten antreten müssen.
